Jim Conniff has spent the last 30 years making bright, fantasical, and weird art. He doesn’t think of himself as an artist. In fact, in true Outsider Artist style, he actively denies it. He creates because he thinks it’s fun, and his work, dusty and in pieces, piles up in his and his family members’ houses. His granddaughter has created a Kickstarter to try to save the art and to record what she can of the 91-year-old artist before he passes away.
