Most consumer electronic accessories launching on Kickstarter to date seem to be focused on iOS devices, which is why we at SOOT have chosen to focus our efforts elsewhere — namely on the Kindle Fire. We’re looking to spread the love to the Kindle Fire community by offering our ‘acoustic’ kickstand as a pre-order on Kickstarter.

The SOOT Kickstand for the Kindle Fire is a modular kickstand that channels sound forward toward the user. There’s a colorful acoustic (non-electric) chamber that pops on to the end of the Fire, propping the device up with the help of a removable credit card-sized stand that inserts into a slot at the rear of the chamber.

In most cases users aren’t forced to choose between a protective cover and the kickstand since it plays well with a lot of the existing book flap cases currently available on the market. And the credit card-sized stand fits perfectly into a wallet or tucks neatly between the sound chamber and the Kindle Fire for total portability.
