In the regional election in Germany’s most populous (18 M) state of Nord Rhein Westfalen the Pirateparty has just won 8.1% of the vote and will send 18 representatives to parlaiment. NRW is larger than most European countries as a state in both population and economy. The regional election is also widely regarded as a national poll showing the shape of things to come in German national politics. This is the fourth win of the Pirates in a series of regional elections. that started with Berlin.
