As I was walking to work on February 15th I found that someone on my street had thrown out two whole bins of flowers. On my way home I grabbed both bins and offloaded something like 60 lbs of flowers and made a five foot wreath out of it, and hung it on the tree in my front yard. This is the link to my G+ photo album of it.

In the NY Times this morning, David Rockwell shares an image of a build-your-own-playground project that his architecture firm did in combination with NYC Parks Dept. and KaBoom. It’s box loaded with giant blocks and chutes that you can assemble like tinkertoys into any number of configurations. Pretty nifty!
