Yay! A sixth sponsor dumps Rash…

    Dear Eric,

Thank you for contacting Goodwill Industries International, Inc. (GII). Goodwill has a network of 165 member organizations that independently operate more than 2500 Goodwill stores across the nation. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Goodwill is a non-partisan nonprofit organization. Public service announcements are not paid advertisements and should not be considered endorsements of a particular political or ideological point of view. The Goodwill public service announcement, that aired on WMAL or other stations affiliated with the Rush Limbaugh show, aired without Goodwill’s knowledge or consent. No further Goodwill public service announcements will be aired without our permission.

    Best regards,
    Goodwill Industries International Customer Service

Fifth advertiser – this time a biggie – says it’s time to “adjust” their advertising slot vis a vis Sir Assboil (http://www.snopes.com/military/limbaugh.asp)

    Eric,

Thank you for writing Deere & Company. John Deere’s current advertising program does not specifically buy ad space on the Rush Limbaugh show. Deere advertising that recently ran during the show is part of a general advertising program that purchases ad space on news and information programming in selected markets. We are currently reassessing this situation to ensure our advertisements more appropriately reach our target audience.

    Sincerely,
    Ken Golden

  • Four More Advertisers Dump Rush

WONDERFUL Eric the half a bee Permalink

You can add four more to the list of advertisers fleeing Rush Limbaugh.

I sent the following letter to all 31 sponsors:

I was very sorry to learn your company is proud to continue paying for Rush Limbaugh to continue calling women sluts over the airwaves.

I and my 10,000 plus twitter followers and 800+ Facebook friends will be spreading the word about withholding support for your company while you continue to support
    this offensive and dangerous bigotry.

    respectfully,
    Eric A. Smith

    Here’s what they said:

    Thank you for contacting Vitacost.com.

To put it frankly, Mr. Limbaugh’s recent comments have been unsettling, and many of our fans have voiced concern that Vitacost.com endorses these views. These comments are definitely not in line with our brand values, and in listening to our fans we’ve decided to remove our advertising from the program.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with, it
    will be my pleasure :)

    Have a great day! :-)

We agree with you and have pulled the ad already last week, unfortunately WMAL needed an extra day to cancel the ad.

The Japanese, ever in love with ubercute imagery, have opened the door to what will one day result in your own personal holodeck, with a 3-dimensional anime “singer” projected onto an areana stage with live musicians for a sold-out concert. Check out the mind-blowing videos here:
