According to multiple news reports, hosting companies may start deleting MegaUpload data on Thursday — including noninfringing content — because federal prosecutors froze MegaUpload assets so they can’t pay the data centers.
Not only is this another indictment in the process of seizing assets before a trial, you’d think that it would be in the prosecutors’ interest to continue making payments in order to preserve evidence. What does it say about the case that they’re unwilling to do so?
