Back in January Boing Boing wrote about a group of Brooklyn filmmakers raising funds to shoot a Post-Apocalypic web series in the abandoned spaces of New York.

The campaign was successful and ‘The Silent CIty’ trailer is now online. It shows some of the haunting locations they were able to film in, as well as helpful tips for surviving the impending armageddon.

Tip #1: Only take what you can carry.

Crowd-rfunded on Kickstarter (due largely to a boingboing post back in January) this web series follows a lone survivor as he journeys through the ruins of New York City.

Shot in the real life abandoned and forgotten spaces of the 5 boroughs, it features locations that will be familiar to East Coast urban explorers, including the artillery battery at Fort Totten in Queens and the Glenwood power plant.
