What is a Decentralized Dance Party (DDP)?
The DDP is a portable, battery-powered Party System.
It was invented by Tom and Gary, two gentlemen from Vancouver.
It consists of thousands of Party people, carrying boomboxes, and a DJ who wears a backpack containing an FM radio transmitter and controlled by a nintendo powerglove. All boomboxes are tuned to the same station and broadcast the same music.
Why is Giftiki & Kiip throwing this party?
Gifitik and Kiip are teaming up with Tom & Gary’s DDP because they would like everyone and anyone at SXSW 2012 to enjoy the transformative power of the Party. The startups have combined their products to promote and crowd fund the DDP.
