My wife and I spent a year planning a wedding from scratch. We had over 36 friends help put it on, complete with a live webcast, a pre-made video introducing the actors, live voice over and shirtless hot men in bow ties to escort the bridesmaids and bride. The reason it’s called part 2 is originally we were going to get married on leap day, but 3 days before the bride was in ICU with sepsis.

Lomokino video poem

I picked up a Lomokino camera recently and have been shooting things to turn them into video poems. The look is awesomely analog, but their service is state of the art. If you mail back for processing a roll of film shot on a Lomokino they send you back the developed negatives, and a CD with digital versions of each individual scan and frame. They also stitch them altogether into an .mp4 and include that, as well.
Here’s the finished piece I made using the Lomokino film I shot:
They (http://www.lomography.com/) also have a device that you can mount to an iPhone that lets you take processed slide film and turn it into a movie on your iPhone (http://usa.shop.lomography.com/accessories/lomokino-smart-phone-holder). Plus they’re manufacturing Holga and other really unusual older cameras. And selling expired film. Really a trove of cool analog camera stuff from a company making it easy to use that analog stuff digitally.

Prince Charles In Turn Table Madness

BRITAIN’S future king Prince Charles turned his hand to DJ-ing during an official visit to Canada to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s upcoming Diamond Jubilee.
The 63-year-old heir to the throne donned a pair of headphones and pumped out thumping beats from behind a turntable at an employment skills workshop in the city today, day three of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall’s four-day visit to the country
Charles, pictured in the Globe and Mail newspaper in a pinstripe gray suit and striped tie, initially appeared daunted by the turntable controls but beamed when he got the hang of how to scratch and fade.
Earlier in his visit the prince had told an invited audience of Forces families, World War II veterans and dignitaries, “As the father of two serving sons in the armed forces, who seem to have become hereditary helicopter pilots, I am greatly looking forward to talking to members and veterans of Her Majesty’s Canadian armed forces … and to recognize their particular form of service to the nation.”
As the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall prepared to fly back to the UK tomorrow, the Queen was allowing herself to be guarded by stetson-wearing Canadian Mounties – including a handful of women officers.
It is only the second time the Mounties have been invited to replace the traditional Household Cavalry – the last time was in 1897, for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
